Yuuse II Chemistry:
100% INDIGENOUS OWNED
Yuuse II Chemistry is a proud and thriving chemical company, 100% owned by Clarence Apsassin of the Blueberry River First Nations (BRFN), located in northern British Columbia. This enterprise is a testament to the strength, heritage, and resilience of the BRFN community, leveraging their expertise in chemical sales to benefit energy producers while fostering economic growth and fulfilling important obligations.
The Blueberry River First Nations, signatories of Treaty 8, have a rich history and culture. Treaty 8 was first signed in 1899. Located 80 km northwest of Fort St. John in northeastern British Columbia, BRFN is a unique blend of Beaver and Cree cultural groups, united as one strong, proud, and determined community. Their ancestors have occupied the lands from the Rocky Mountains into northwestern Alberta along the Peace River for millennia. The Dane-zaa, Cree and Beaver people, were first recorded by fur traders in 1793, though their oral histories trace their presence and activities long before the arrival of explorers and settlers.
Yuuse II Chemistry stands at the forefront of this rich heritage, channeling the community's collective strength into a successful business venture. Specializing in chemical sales to energy producers, Yuuse II Chemistry plays a pivotal role in supporting the energy sector. This engagement not only provides high-quality chemical products essential for energy production but also ensures that the benefits of these activities are returned to the BRFN community.
The company's operations significantly contribute to the economic empowerment of BRFN members, creating job opportunities, supporting local businesses, and investing in community development projects. By engaging in chemical sales, Yuuse II Chemistry helps fulfill the obligations of energy producers to the Nation, ensuring that the BRFN community shares in the prosperity generated by the region's natural resources. Yuuse II Chemistry is a 100% Blueberry River First Nation Member Contractor.
